Scalebars

This feature allows organizations to create and manage their own scalebars.

Users with the Configuration Manager role can create, edit, and copy scalebars from a dedicated configuration section.

Each scalebar is limited to its own organization and cannot be shared across tenants.

Open the Scalebars dashboard

To open the Scalebars dashboard select the Scalebars button:

After selection of the Scalebars button the_ Scalebars_ dashboard is displayed:

Use the Search option to search for scalebars:

Use the vertical scroll bar to browse available definitions.

At the bottom of the page, navigate between pages using the horizontal arrows (← →).

Create Scalebars

In order to create a new scalebar the _Create Scalebar_button__will be selected:

After selection the _Create Scalebar_page will be displayed:

Name input field

When creating a new Scalebar name you should be careful to create a name that describes the definition sufficiently to other users.

Scalebar sides dropdown

Using the Scalebar Sides dropdown, users can define where tick marks appear on the scalebar—either on both sides, only above (top), or only below (bottom) of the horizontal line:

Min supported scale dropdown

Using the Min Supported scale dropdown, users can specify the smallest scale at which the scalebar is supported:

Max supported scale dropdown

Using the Max Supported scale dropdown, users can specify the largest scale at which the scalebar is supported:

Major Tick Length input field

Using the Major Tick Length input field, users can set the length of the major tick in millimeters.

Minor Tick Length input field

Using the Minor Tick Length input field, users can set the length of the minor tick in millimeters.

Tick and label definition

The settings selected in Scalebar Sides determine which definition sections are displayed for configuring ticks and labels.

If Both are chosen then both the Top and Bottom definition sections will be displayed:

If Top is selected, only the top definition section is displayed. If Bottom is selected, only the bottom definition section is displayed.

Unit dropdown

Using the Unit dropdown, users can specify the units used on the top or bottom of the scalebar:

Units left of threshold input field

Using the Units Left of Threshold input field, users can specify the units to the left of the threshold in the selected unit of measurement:

Units right of threshold input field

Using the Units right of Threshold input field, users can specify the units to the right of the threshold in the selected unit of measurement:

Major intervals input fields

Using the Major intervals input fields, users can specify the units for major intervals in the selected unit of measurement left and right of the Threshold :

Minor intervals input fields

Using the Minor intervals input fields, users can specify the units for minor intervals in the selected unit of measurement left and right of the Threshold :

Label intervals input fields

Using the Label intervals input fields, users can specify the distance in the selected unit of measurement left and right of the Threshold for scalebar labels:

Save/Cancel

Save the new Scalebars by selecting Save, or select Cancel to discard it.

For system scalebars (scalebars that cannot be edited by users), the following options are available when clicking the ellipsis (A group of dots on a white background AI-generated content may be incorrect.) for that scalebar:

View details

After selection of the View details button the Scalebars details are displayed:

Duplicate

After selection of the Duplicate button the Scalebars chosen will be duplicated and message confirming duplication will be displayed:

For scalebars created by users the following options are available when clicking the ellipsis (A group of dots on a white background AI-generated content may be incorrect.) for that scalebar:

The View details and Duplicate are explained in the previous section.

Edit

Select Edit to open the Edit Scalebars page, where you can modify the definition and select Update to save changes or Cancel to discard them:

Remove

To remove a scalebar, select the Remove option.

The Remove scalebar warning will appear:

Select No to cancel and _Yes_to remove the scalebar.
