Label Templates
Introduction
Labels are an essential part of plan views, providing pilots with critical information linked to chart features. They enhance situational awareness by displaying key data—such as obstacle heights, navigation bearings, distances, and flight level limits—directly alongside feature symbols.
Most chart features include one or more labels. The type and content of a label depend on the feature it represents: - Obstacle (OBS) labels typically show obstacle height. - Route Segment (RSE/RSG) labels may include magnetic bearing, reverse magnetic bearing, total distance, and flight level limits.
To ensure consistency and efficiency, SmartGlobe uses Label Templates. A label template defines how feature data is formatted and rendered, including layout, alignment, styling, and visual appearance (such as borders and backgrounds).
Important: Labels in Rembrandt are stored as part of the chart. They are not automatically re-rendered when a chart is reopened. Updated templates are applied only when: - Creating a new chart - Placing a new feature - Changing the label template assigned to an existing label

Label Template Options
Each label template provides a set of actions accessible via the ellipsis (⋯) menu. The available options depend on whether the template is a Standard or Non-Standard template.
